Corrosion Control Documents
NACE International and the US Congress, as part of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century, studied the effects of refinery loss due to corrosion. The study showed refinery losses due to corrosion in the United States is $276 billion per year. Both managers and engineers of the refinery industry are always concerned about reliability of equipment related to corrosion. Accidents of corrosion are more likely to be extended to a serious accident. Refinery process accidents continue to occur in the inside and outside of the United States. These accidents bring about many casualties and economic loss.
The Corrosion Control Document (CCD) consists of numerous parts namely damage mechanisms, design data, critical reliability variables, guidelines, etc. The Corrosion Control Document is needed to choose the damage mechanism of each process effecting equipments that are based on API 571.
Sentinel Integrity Solutions provides techniques of improving refinery reliability, profitability and availability. Our experts specialize in developing or keeping your facility’s CCD’s evergreen.
